5 STEPS TO ACHIEVE YOUR NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow, another year down in the books! I am so excited to see what 2017 has in store for me!
Like most, I have a few goals I would like to accomplish over the next 12 months. Have you ever started a goal but ended up falling short within the first few months of the year?
Here are my sure-fire ways to “just keep swimming” until your goal is accomplished!

Step 1 Vision It!
You have to actually see yourself accomplishing the goal you set out to achieve. The best advice I can give when envisioning goals is to make sure that your goals are realistic and achievable. In 2017, I want to work on the art of manifesting by using the laws of attraction. You have to believe in yourself and your ability to accomplish your dreams.

Step 2 Plan it!
I am a firm believer of writing things down. As easy as it is to just think about your goals, seeing them written down takes it a step further. My favorite Ben Franklin quote is ““If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!” Planning things out gives you a chance to see the actual steps you need to take in order to achieve your goals. Your dreams won’t happen on their own. You have to set a plan of action. Breaking your plan down into workable parts makes your plan easier to achieve.

Step 3 Baby Steps!
Plan to work on your goal in gradual steps. You have a better chance of achieving your goal if you work in the necessary steps it takes to accomplish them. Some people think they can run a 50-mile race after 2 weeks of practice. This might be possible for some, but for most you have to gradually train your way up to accomplish a 50-mile race. This is the same for most goals. When doing “Step 2” consider each step necessary for you to work on. This can make or break if you accomplish your goal. Take the right action necessary!

Step 4 Be Positive!
When working on something new you may have times where you feel your goal is impossible to reach. Don’t get down if you aren’t on track or fall off a day or two. “Just keep swimming” No matter what, if you fall down, get back up and try again. Positive thoughts and reinforcements are sure fire ways to achieve your goals. You have to remain positive and believe in yourself!

Step 5 Enjoy Achieving Your Goal!
You picked this goal to better yourself. Remember that when working on achieving the goal you have in mind. Once you have achieved your goal reward yourself. Achieving your accomplishments is a cause for celebration!
